Specifics:
Body Condition: Near MINT and a rare find for an artifact of its age. It has been meticulously preserved, showing minimal signs of use, and is ready to embark on new cinematic adventures. No corrosion.
Lens Condition: There is no fungus or fog on the lenses. The glass is in tip-top shape. Mint.
Internal Condition: Perfectly functioning and recently overhauled by Bjorn Andersson in Sweden, a renowned expert in Beaulieu cameras with decades of experience. This piece will last another 70 years if properly maintained.
Accessories: Battery recently recelled and in perfect functioning condition.
Overhaul specifics:The known to be problematic Filter “Wratten 85” has been removed and back focus corrected. Fully stripped, mechanism cleaned and re-oiled. Take up friction was weak, and needed adjustment. Battery compartment nickel plating was flaking and was changed. All settings were adjusted to factory specs. Montage, collimation and function control all set correctly. Work done in European Lab December of 2023.
KnownFlaws:The exposure meter has a tendency to stick very infrequently, which is very common and not too interruptive may eventually resolve itself as the meter is used more. It doesn’t appear to effect the accuracy of the meter at all as the camera has also been film tested. The camera was just recently overhauled in Europe, however this minor detail was overlooked. I am not too bothered by it as a simple gentle tap with my finger resolves the issue. I am planning removing the listing and having this serviced when I send another batch of cameras, however I will also have to include this in the price.
